An experiential eco-retreat Collective Trojena to open in NEOM
The project is expected to open at the beginning of 2026.
Trojena, the snow-capped mountain destination in northwest Saudi Arabia, laying the groundwork for the future of sustainability by using solar and wind energy and water desalination technology to produce zero waste residual, will have an eco-retreat by 2026.
To be managed by Collective Retreats, a US outdoor experiential hospitality company, Collective Trojena is the new eco-friendly property that will offer guest access to Trojena’s outdoor beauty.
Collective Trojena will have about 60 open-air guest rooms, water features, group campfires, and creative culinary experiences.
A wide range of outdoor activities, including skiing, snowboarding, high-altitude training, paragliding, mountain biking, hiking, water sports, and programming focused on film, art, and music, will also be directly accessible to guests.
“Trojena provides the ultimate backdrop to achieve this mission in ways we never imagined. In addition to giving a global audience a new perspective on this spectacular mountain setting, we are committed to demonstrating that luxury travel should not be extractive and that it’s possible to preserve the environment and deliver extraordinary guest experiences,” said Peter Mack, founder and CEO at Collective Retreats.
Collective Trojena is among several new projects NEOM plans to announce this year.
