After Milan and London, Bulgari brings the Serpenti exhibition to Dubai

From Milan’s central Piazza Duomo and London’s famed Saatchi Gallery, Bulgari’s Serpenti 75 Years of Infinite Tales exhibition, which keeps moving from one iconic place to another, is now on a new chapter of its journey at the Dubai International Financial Center (DIFC.)
The Italian luxury label Bulgari’s exhibition will run until September 24 at the DIFC.
The exhibition showcases the brand’s iconic snake-inspired jewelry pieces, which debuted in 1948, and touches upon the heritage, imagery, and information about the Serpenti collection.
To mark the 75th anniversary of Serpenti, Bulgari introduces the Serpenti Factory, an artistic endeavor that delves deep into the snake as an eternal source of creativity. This initiative explores how the icon’s symbolism, techniques, and heritage continue to influence the creativity and craftsmanship of Serpenti.
Additionally, the Maison has decided to feature three UAE talents to provide their insights on the Serpenti, including Henna artist Azra Khamissa, Emirati spoken word poet Afra Atiq, and jewelry designer and sculpture artist Azza Al-Qubaisi.Â
While Khamissa is creating henna drawings that take inspiration from her bedouin designs and merge them with the brand’s snake motif, Atiq has written a poem based on three pieces from the Serpenti designs. The poem pays homage to the continuous efforts of Bulgari’s snake creations and focuses on the shedding of snakeskin as a metaphor for growth. Al Qubaisi has sculpted a piece utilizing steel sheets to mimic a snake, inviting visitors to engage with the art.
Furthermore, an entire room is dedicated to the installation of Refik Anadol, a Turkish-American digital artist who uses artificial intelligence to create immersive art.Â
Bulgari has also announced its Serpenti initiative, looking to highlight the effect that the snake symbol has on the Maison and the overall jewelry landscape.
