Saudi Arabia has announced plans to develop a $3.3 billion sports complex through a new partnership between Alpha Jossor Investments and the UK-based tech company Blockchain Sports Ecosystem.

The collaboration aims to create one of the largest sports hubs in the Middle East and North Africa, integrating cutting-edge technology to attract significant investment in the sports and entertainment sectors.

The complex will feature a state-of-the-art football academy and real estate developments, including 1,500 villas and over 3,300 apartments, valued at $1.6 billion.

These developments will support sustainable urban living, which is in line with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to boost tourism and foreign investment.

This project is part of the kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 strategy to diversify the economy. The initiative aims to increase sports participation from 13% to 40% of the population by 2030. Saudi Arabia is investing $2 billion annually in the sports sector, expecting to generate $22 billion in economic impact and create over 100,000 jobs within the next decade.

Alpha Jossor Investments will manage the project and secure foreign investment. At the same time, Blockchain Sports Ecosystem will contribute its expertise in integrating advanced technologies such as performance tracking, artificial intelligence, and blockchain into sports development.

The partnership was formalized through an MoU signed by Alpha Jossor Chairman Abdulrahman Al-Qarni and Blockchain Sports Ecosystem Founder Dmitry Saksonov at a ceremony in Riyadh. The event was attended by football stars Kevin Kuranyi, Jay-Jay Okocha, Mikael Silvestre, and Jens Lehmann.

The companies also plan to develop a digital platform for managing athlete identities and enhancing global scouting and talent development. Blockchain Sports Ecosystem’s technologies, recognized across 181 countries, will help expand the project’s international reach.
