Microsoft and its partners are set to contribute $74.4 billion to the UAE economy, as revealed by a new IDC study at GITEX Global 2024.

The report, Microsoft Cloud Dividend Snapshot for the UAE, emphasizes how Microsoft’s cloud services drive the UAE’s digital economy, promote innovation, and generate job opportunities.

Over the next four years, Microsoft and its partners will invest $5.1 billion in the UAE’s data center regions, boosting local economies through cloud-based services. This investment is expected to fuel growth for businesses using cloud and AI technologies to stay competitive. Microsoft’s cloud ecosystem is also projected to create 152,530 jobs in the UAE by 2028, including 41,800 highly skilled IT roles.

As cloud adoption transforms the public and private sectors, the projected jobs will span industries like healthcare, finance, and government, accelerating AI integration and driving digital transformation across the economy.
