Dubai’s booming culinary scene was on full display at the fourth annual MICHELIN Guide Ceremony, held at Address Sky View, where 119 establishments spanning more than 35 types of cuisine were unveiled as part of the 2025 selection. The event showcased the city’s growth as a diverse and dynamic food destination.

Among the headline announcements, two restaurants earned the prestigious Three MICHELIN Stars for the first time since the guide launched in Dubai in 2022, marking a milestone in the city’s culinary journey.

FZN by Björn Frantzén, the Swedish chef’s Middle East debut, made an impressive entrance into the guide, immediately securing Three Stars. The restaurant’s menu is considered a masterclass, combining Scandinavian techniques and Asian influences using premium ingredients.

Joining FZN is Trèsind Studio, which was elevated to Three MICHELIN Stars in its fourth appearance, becoming the first Indian restaurant globally to receive the guide’s highest rating. Led by Chef Himanshu Saini, the restaurant is celebrated for its reimagined Indian tasting menus, offering a multi-sensory journey through regional dishes.

Two establishments were added to the One MICHELIN Star category. Jamavar, located in the Opera District, was recognized for its well-balanced Indian cuisine with high-quality ingredients.

Manāo, led by Dubai-born chef Abhiraj Khatwani, was noted by inspectors for its 11-course tasting menu, which offers a contemporary reinterpretation of classic Thai dishes while preserving their traditional essence.

The Guide now features 14 restaurants with One MICHELIN Star in Dubai, reflecting the growing depth and quality of the city’s fine dining offerings.

Five new restaurants have joined Dubai’s Bib Gourmand list, which recognizes eateries offering high-quality food at great value.

The additions include DUO Gastrobar – Creek Harbour, known for its refined comfort food; Harummanis, a Malay grill serving bold Southeast Asian flavors; Hawkerboi, inspired by the street food of Singapore and its neighbors; Khadak, a modern Indian brasserie with vibrant sharing plates; and Sufret Maryam, Chef Salam Dakkak’s latest venture offering hearty Levantine cuisine.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DCTCM), praised the milestone moment: The launch of the fourth edition of the MICHELIN Guide Dubai marks another pivotal moment in Dubai’s journey as a world-class gastronomic destination, and is a testament to bold innovation, extraordinary talent and culinary distinction.”

Kazim added that, like the three-star distinction itself, Dubai is a destination “worth a special journey,” offering an eclectic mix of homegrown gems and global culinary icons. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to MICHELIN for highlighting the crucial role of restaurants in driving Dubai’s destination appeal, economic growth, and global competitiveness.”
