Qatar Museums has launched the QM AI Art Tour, a new artificial intelligence-powered platform that offers personalized art and heritage journeys across the country. The initiative aims to enhance cultural accessibility and audience engagement through advanced technology.

The digital platform was created in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and aligns with the goals of Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030. It reflects Qatar Museums’ ongoing commitment to incorporating digital innovation into its cultural programs.

The AI Art Tour allows users to interact with a virtual AI Art Specialist who curates routes based on their interests. By responding to user preferences, the AI creates a personalized itinerary that includes museums, public art installations, and heritage sites across Doha.

The virtual guide offers continuous support throughout the journey, providing insights into artworks and helping users navigate between stops.

This launch is part of Qatar Museums’ broader efforts to make the country’s cultural assets more accessible, attracting both local audiences and international visitors.

It also marks the organization’s 20th anniversary and is part of Evolution Nation, an 18-month campaign by Qatar Creates celebrating five decades of cultural development in the country.

“This initiative reflects our ongoing mission to merge tradition with innovation,” said Mohammed Al Rumaihi, CEO of Qatar Museums. “By using artificial intelligence to deepen cultural engagement, we are not only increasing accessibility to Qatar’s diverse art landscape but also building meaningful, personal connections between our audiences and the stories we tell through art.”

Reem Al Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Industry Affairs at MCIT, said the AI initiative highlights how technology transforms people’s engagement with culture and national identity.

“Digital innovation has evolved beyond a supporting role. It is now a driving force,” she said. “We are pleased to collaborate with Qatar Museums on launching the first real-world AI use case under our strategic partnership with Scale AI.”

The Scale AI partnership, first announced at the Web Summit, aims to introduce a variety of applied AI use cases across Qatar’s public and semi-public sectors over the next five years.
