Amenah AlMuhairi is an Emirati athlete breaking new ground in winter sports. She has been the UAE’s national snowboarding champion since 2018 and has steadily established herself in international competition despite coming from a country without natural snow. In 2023, she became the first Emirati snowboarder to compete in an FIS-sanctioned event and represented the UAE at the 2024 Youth Winter Olympic Games.
In 2025, AlMuhairi won three golds, a silver, and a bronze in FIS competitions across Bosnia and Croatia and went on to compete as one of the first Emirati snowboarders and the only woman in her delegation at the Asian Winter Games, finishing sixth in Slopestyle. She is now focused on qualifying for the 2026 Winter Olympics, serving as an inspiration for a new generation of Emirati athletes in winter sports and expanding the possibilities for sporting achievement in the region.
