H.E. Razan Al Mubarak

Razan Khalifa Al Mubarak is known for her leadership in global conservation and climate work. She is President of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and was the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for COP28 UAE. She is the first IUCN President from West Asia and only the second woman to hold this role. She has more than 20 years of experience shaping environmental policies in the UAE and worldwide. She has led efforts in species conservation and climate resilience.

As the founding director of the Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund, she has helped support over 3,000 projects worldwide. She is also the Managing Director of the Environment Agency in Abu Dhabi and Emirates Nature-WWF. Internationally, she represents the UAE as Sherpa for the High-Level Panel for a Sustainable Ocean Economy and is Co-Chair of the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures.
