Her Royal Highness Princess Lamia Bint Majed Saud AlSaud is the Secretary General and member of the Board of Trustees at Alwaleed Philanthropies, where she has led philanthropic initiatives since her appointment in April 2016. She previously served as Executive Manager of Media and Communication at the Foundation. Under her leadership, Alwaleed Philanthropies has advanced programs in community development, gender equality, and social impact, earning international recognition and multiple awards, including the Achievement in Philanthropies Award at Arab Women of the Year 2017, the Change Maker Award at the Aid & Trade Conference, and the People First Leader Award at the GCC GOV HR Awards.
Princess Lamia also holds a number of international roles, including UN-Habitat Regional Goodwill Ambassador for the Arab States, a member of UNICEF’s Generation Unlimited Champion Committee, and a Global Champion for gender equality with UN Women. In 2024, she became CEO of Rotana Media Group, overseeing Rotana Studios and Rotana Channels, the largest production and distribution platforms in the Arab world. She previously founded the publishing company Sada Al Arab and is the author of Children and Blood, a novel exploring honor killings and women’s experiences in the Middle East.
