Maha Gorton is the Head of the Women’s Pavilion at Expo City Dubai, where she oversees programmes focused on women’s participation, sustainability, and inclusive economic growth. In this role, she is responsible for shaping the Pavilion’s agenda and partnerships, with an emphasis on initiatives that translate policy goals around gender equity into practical outcomes. She has more than 15 years of experience across communications, social impact, and cross-sector collaboration, working at the intersection of business, urban development, and inclusion.

At Expo City Dubai, her work has included developing programmes addressing workforce participation, health, and innovation, such as return-to-work initiatives and sector-focused hackathons. Gorton’s approach centres on building platforms that connect public institutions, private organisations, and communities to address structural gaps affecting women’s participation in economic and civic life.
