The Middle East’s design scene is still evolving. Critical to its future is the role played by design institutes. Mohammad Abdullah of the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) is at the helm of the region’s design renaissance, which provides students with an avenue to hone design thinking and creative problem-solving skills. He’s been instrumental in curating DIDI’s curriculum in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Parsons School of Design, bolstering the region’s potential to emerge as a goldmine for designers and innovators of the future.
