It’s clear the metaverse unlocks opportunities for all industries and opens up exciting new possibilities for entertainment, arts, collaboration, and productivity.

If poised to become the successor to the web as we know it, you only have to see it is an $800 billion market opportunity. In keeping with these trends, KPMG has announced the establishment of its Center of Excellence (CoE) for metaverse and digital twins on the sidelines of LEAP Conference 2023. 

Through this initiative, KPMG will bring together a broad collective, with Microsoft, leveraging infrastructure and gaming platform, Ericsson for their 5G technology and network; and Metakey as the technical partner to develop 3D objects. The objective of the CoE is to expedite metaverse and digital twin applications in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.

With the launch of the Centre of Excellence, we are proud to bring together a team of experts and organizations to drive these initiatives forward,” said Maz Hussain, Head of Digital Lighthouse at KPMG in Saudi Arabia.

According to KPMG, the metaverse will position Saudi Arabia on a global stage, creating safe, secure environments to facilitate Saudi business and society within national policies. The CoE is the foundational stepping stone toward achieving this overall target.
