In a major development for powerboat racing, the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club has named a new leader for its internationally acclaimed Formula 1 team. As the sport bids farewell to one of its longest-serving icons, Team Abu Dhabi embarks on a new chapter.

The Club has officially announced the signing of Emirati racer Mansour Al Mansoori to join the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 powerboat racing team. He will replace veteran champion Thani Al Qemzi, who recently concluded a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years.

Al Mansoori’s appointment to compete in the UIM F1H2O World Championship comes after a unanimous decision by the team’s management and technical staff. He is set to make his debut in the opening round of the 2025 UIM F1H2O World Championship in Indonesia. This milestone marks a new chapter in Al Mansoori’s career as he takes on the responsibility of upholding the team’s legacy and keeping Abu Dhabi at the forefront of the championship.

The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club expressed strong confidence in Al Mansoori, praising his determination and high ambitions. The club reaffirmed its full support to help him achieve success and continue raising the UAE flag at international events.
