Digital Dubai has launched the first AI-generated virtual “Emirati Family,” a platform designed to deliver government messages in an accessible and culturally relevant format. The platform aims to strengthen Dubai’s digital engagement and enhance public awareness.

The initiative, which reflects Emirati values while promoting digital literacy, introduces an interactive virtual family that will serve as a communication tool for the city’s digital services.

The first character, a young girl dressed in modernized traditional attire, was unveiled in a short social media video. She is designed to appeal to children and families, sparking conversations around technology and artificial intelligence.

To foster community engagement, the public was invited to vote on the character’s name from three options: ‘Dubai,’ ‘Mira,’ or ‘Latifa.’ Future additions will include the rest of the family—a father, mother, and brother—forming a complete household representation.

The AI-powered family is part of a broader strategy to make digital government services more relatable and encourage interaction across different age groups, nationalities, and languages.

The characters are intended to serve as a bridge between government initiatives and the public, delivering key messages in an engaging, human-centered way.

Aligned with Digital Dubai’s broader vision, the project supports efforts to integrate advanced technologies into daily life, enhance digital communication, and reinforce Dubai’s position as a global leader in digital transformation.
