AITO targets Middle East market with EV launch at IAA MOBILITY 2025
The new Middle East variants feature a trilingual smart cockpit and hardware tailored for desert conditions.

As global demand for intelligent electric vehicles (EVs) continues to rise, China’s SERES Group is using its premium EV brand, AITO, to expand internationally. At this year’s IAA MOBILITY in Munich, one of the world’s leading mobility trade fairs, AITO debuted three models, the AITO 9, AITO 7, and AITO 5, all specifically designed for the Middle East market.
Displayed on the brand’s newly upgraded stand, these vehicles reflect AITO’s goal of redefining luxury through smart, technology-driven design.
“AITO is committed to becoming a glocal brand,” said Leon He, President of SERES AUTO. “Today, at IAA MOBILITY 2025, AITO is unveiling our truly globalized product lineup and setting a new strategic milestone in our globalization journey. This journey to define ‘new luxury’ in the intelligent era is backed by our cutting-edge technology and remarkable success in China.”
Since its launch in 2021, AITO has sold more than 770,000 vehicles in China. Its flagship model, the AITO 9, introduced in late 2023, has led sales in the $68,500 luxury segment for 17 consecutive months, with over 230,000 units sold.
The new Middle East variants come with region-specific features, including a smart cockpit supporting Chinese, English, and Arabic, and hardware optimized for desert climates. All models have received UAE certification and are expected to enter the market soon.
To support this expansion, AITO will establish a UAE subsidiary, build a localized supply chain from Dubai, and provide tailored after-sales support. The brand also showcased its SERES 5th-Gen Super Range-Extender System and MF Platform, both central to its global strategy.
AITO’s appearance at the IAA marks an important step in its expansion from the Chinese market to the Middle East.
