Aramco and DHL team up to build logistics hub in Saudi Arabia
The joint venture will provide end-to-end procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors.
Saudi oil giant Aramco and international logistics firm DHL are launching a new end-to-end procurement and logistics hub joint venture in Saudi Arabia.
To be operational in 2025, the joint venture will initially focus on the Saudi market, and eventually, expand across the MENA region.
With Aramco’s energy and industrial supply chain ecosystem, along with DHL’s logistics expertise, Aramco President and CEO Amin H Nasser said that the joint venture is expected to serve as a one-stop hub for customers’ supply chain needs. “We anticipate that it will not only advance the economic goals of our two companies but also accelerate growth across Saudi Arabia and the MENA region.”
Meanwhile, Oscar de Bok, DHL Supply Chain CEO, commented on how the partnership would expand its industrial footprint. “By working in partnership with Aramco, we aim to provide regional and multinational businesses from these sectors access to a robust international logistics network, fostering positive economic growth while promoting sustainable activities.”
According to the release, the new venture will provide end-to-end procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical, and petrochemical sectors. It also offers an opportunity for businesses to reduce costs, maximize efficiency, and harness digitalization.
