Autogo and Apollo Go launch autonomous RoboTaxi trials in Abu Dhabi
In partnership with Apollo Go, the initiative aims to enhance road safety, sustainability, and smart city development by 2026.

Autogo, a UAE-based autonomous mobility company under Kintsugi Holding, has begun operational trials for its RoboTaxi service in Abu Dhabi. This marks a major step toward the city’s smart transportation future, and the trials pave the way for full-scale RoboTaxi deployment by 2026.
As part of this initiative, Autogo has partnered with Apollo Go, the autonomous mobility arm of Baidu, a global leader in large-scale self-driving technology. This collaboration aims to integrate advanced autonomous mobility solutions into Abu Dhabi’s transportation network, positioning the city at the forefront of innovation in smart mobility.
The RoboTaxi service delivers a next-generation transportation experience, leveraging advanced electric design and AI-driven systems to navigate real-time road conditions safely and efficiently. By eliminating human-related driving errors, these fully autonomous vehicles enhance road safety while offering a sustainable solution for urban mobility.
Designed specifically for autonomous ride-hailing, the sixth-generation RT6 RoboTaxi combines comfort, safety, and intelligent technology. Operating entirely on electricity, it reduces carbon emissions, alleviates traffic congestion, and supports the evolution of smart cities.
The operational trials are being conducted in partnership with Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC), ensuring compliance with local transport regulations and infrastructure requirements while supporting the emirate’s broader smart mobility initiatives.
“The launch of RoboTaxi trials in Abu Dhabi marks the beginning of a large-scale transformation in urban mobility. RoboTaxis aims to achieve two key goals: enhancing road safety and providing more sustainable transportation solutions,” said Sean Teo, Managing Director of Kintsugi Holding.
Autogo and Apollo Go will collaborate to test the technology in real-world conditions, engage with the public, and prepare for broader deployment across Abu Dhabi by 2026.
Apollo Go, also known as Luobo Kuaipao, is a leading autonomous ride-hailing platform with a proven track record. By March 2025, it had completed over 150 million kilometers of autonomous driving and surpassed 10 million ride orders. As the first company in China to offer fully autonomous ride-hailing, Apollo Go continues to leverage AI, big data, and automation to drive the future of smart cities.
