Binance strengthens top leadership with Yi He’s appointment as Co-CEO
Both leaders remain focused on Web3 development and expanding financial access as the company works toward reaching one billion users.
Binance has appointed its co-founder, Yi He, as Co-CEO, the company announced during Binance Blockchain Week, marking an important leadership shift at the world’s largest digital asset exchange by trading volume and users.
Richard Teng, who currently serves as Co-CEO, stated that Yi He has been a central figure in Binance’s executive leadership since its inception. He credited her with shaping the company’s long-term vision, culture, and user-first strategy, calling the promotion a “natural progression” that strengthens the organization’s future trajectory.
Teng emphasized Binance’s continued focus on regulatory progress and user trust, noting that Yi He has played a key role in expanding the company’s global community and broadening its product portfolio. He added that both leaders remain committed to building Web3 infrastructure and advancing financial inclusion as Binance works toward its goal of reaching one billion users.
Yi He said she is “honored” to take on the Co-CEO role alongside Teng, praising his decades of experience in regulated financial markets and his early involvement in shaping crypto oversight. She said their combined backgrounds bring “diverse perspectives” that will guide Binance through a pivotal period for the industry, as the company aims to responsibly scale its global presence and drive sustainable, user-centric innovation.
