As Dubai prepares to open its doors to delegates worldwide for COP28 (November 30 to December 12, 2023), the BMW Group has announced its role as the VIP E-Mobility Provider for the conference.
“The COP28 UAE Presidency’s vision correlates with BMW’s commitment to technology orientation solutions and the Paris Climate Agreement. At COP28, the BMW Group will present solutions and discuss the requirements necessary to achieve the transformation to sustainable mobility,” Christian Bahoo, Global Head of Special Political Engagement, BMW Group, said in a statement.
Given its commitment to sustainability, BMW Group will deploy a fleet comprising the BMW i7, BMW iX, and BMW iX5 Hydrogen exclusively for VIP guests and officials during the event.
The BMW i7, representing Middle Eastern innovation, incorporates components crafted from sustainably sourced solar electrons in the UAE by Emirates Global Aluminum. Meanwhile, the BMW iX adheres to circular design principles, utilizing high-quality secondary materials to minimize the carbon footprint of BMW Group vehicles. In addition, the BMW iX5 Hydrogen, having successfully completed hot-weather tests in the UAE, offers a locally emissions-free drive.
