Celebrity entrepreneurs pick Abu Dhabi to expand business ventures
Deepak Chopra, Patrice Evra, and Metta World Peace are in the UAE as part of Maven Global Access’ business expansion program
Entrepreneurs from around the globe have been drawn to the UAE to expand their business presence. Now, meditation expert Deepak Chopra, former Manchester United captain Patrice Evra, and former professional basketball player Metta World Peace have signed agreements to set up their businesses in Abu Dhabi.
The three celebrity entrepreneurs are in the UAE capital as a part of Maven Global Access’ business expansion program, Access Abu Dhabi, an Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO)-backed initiative assisting celebrities in expediting their growth to the UAE capital.
The signings took place at Abu Dhabi Finance Week’s celebrity entrepreneur World Cup event on Thursday.
Deepak Chopra’s ChopraVerse, a platform that nurtures a culture of well-being in the metaverse, will establish its presence in Abu Dhabi’s Web3 environment.
“Abu Dhabi’s leadership in Web3 innovation and commitment to improving happiness provide the ideal foundation for the ChopraVerse’s development,” said Chopra.
Patrice Evra is launching a new content company. Meanwhile, through XvsX Sports, Metta World Peace’s Artest Management Group will bring competitive basketball tournaments to the UAE.
To expand their business presence here, entrepreneurs from around the globe have been drawn to the region. In May 2022, Tyra Banks, the supermodel-turned-businesswoman, chose Abu Dhabi as the first international market for her gourmet ice cream brand, Smize Cream.
Picking Abu Dhabi for her brand’s global expansion, Banks said she was inspired by the UAE’s achievements over the past 50 years.
