The UAE has entered its peak travel season as schools prepare for holidays and airports brace for increased activity. Residents are shifting into vacation mode, with temperatures soaring to 50 degrees Celsius. Dubai International Airport (DXB) forecasts over 3.7 million passengers from June 12-25, averaging 264,000 daily. The busiest day is expected to be June 22, with guest numbers likely to exceed 287,000.

As a result, there is expected to be a surge in demand for luxury transportation services, with chauffeur-hailing service Blacklane anticipating a 25% increase in bookings from UAE travelers during this season. In 2023, 49% of Blacklane’s bookings were for airport transfers.

“As we approach what promises to be a record-breaking summer travel season, our projected increase in airport transfers is a direct response to the expanding travel market,” said Nicolas Soucaille, General Manager of Blacklane Middle East.

“Our airport transfer service is one of our largest service segments and is meticulously tailored to meet the needs of both UAE residents and global travelers. We ensure a seamless journey from the passenger’s doorstep to their final destination, whether that’s from their home in Dubai to an airport or from London’s Heathrow to a city center hotel,” he added.
