Cristiano Ronaldo hails Saudi Arabia’s tourism ambitions at TOURISE 2025 Forum
The Al-Nassr star highlighted his belief in Saudi Arabia’s potential, voicing support for the Kingdom’s tourism growth, World Cup 2034 bid, and broader national transformation.
Football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his full support for Saudi Arabia’s ambitious tourism strategy and the progress of Vision 2030, describing the Kingdom’s global tourism prospects as “exceptionally strong” during his address at the TOURISE 2025 Global Forum.
Organized by the Ministry of Tourism from November 11 to 13, the forum aims to shape the future of international tourism through innovation, sustainability, and collaboration across key sectors, including technology, aviation, and entertainment.
“Everyone realized I was right when I moved to Saudi Arabia,” Ronaldo said, expressing confidence in the Kingdom’s vision. “I believe in the ambition and potential of Saudi Arabia’s development journey.”
The Al-Nassr forward spoke about his personal commitment to the nation’s ongoing transformation. “I consider myself Saudi, and I contribute across different sectors,” he shared. “I came here because I believed in the country’s capabilities — and now everyone sees that belief was justified.”
Ronaldo also affirmed his enthusiasm for Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 FIFA World Cup, saying, “I want to play a part in making that dream a reality.” He highlighted his admiration for the country’s tourism landmarks, adding, “I love AlUla and the Red Sea project, and I believe in the Kingdom’s tourism vision.”
Reflecting on his football journey, the Portuguese star said, “I’m enjoying every moment right now. Retirement could come in a couple of years, but I’m focused on the present.”
He praised Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, commending his leadership and dedication: “The Crown Prince has worked tirelessly to elevate Saudi Arabia on the global stage.”
Ronaldo concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the Kingdom’s broader transformation, describing it as “a major project for Saudi Arabia” and expressing confidence in the future of its sports and development sectors.
