DEWA and ENOC partner to expand EV fast-charging network across Dubai
Since 2014, DEWA has installed over 1,500 EV chargers across Dubai through public and private partnerships.

As the UAE accelerates its shift toward a low-carbon economy and sustainable transportation, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has signed a strategic agreement with ENOC Group to expand fast-charging infrastructure for electric vehicles (EVs) across the emirate. The collaboration highlights Dubai’s broader efforts to promote clean energy adoption and meet the growing demand for electric mobility. Under the agreement, new EV fast-charging stations will be installed at ENOC service stations throughout Dubai.
The contract was signed by Waleed bin Salman, Executive Vice President of Business Development and Excellence at DEWA, and Zaid Alqufaidi, Managing Director of ENOC Retail, in the presence of Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and Hussain Sultan Lootah, Acting Group CEO of ENOC, along with senior officials from both organisations.
“In collaboration with our partners from the government and private sectors, we are enhancing Dubai’s green mobility journey by building and developing an integrated infrastructure for charging electric vehicles,” said Al Tayer. “This contributes to reducing carbon emissions and achieving the goals of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050, the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, and the Dubai Green Mobility Strategy.”
Hussain Lootah added: “Our partnership with DEWA marks a strategic milestone in our commitment to advancing the UAE’s green agenda and positioning Dubai as a global hub for sustainability and innovation.”
Since launching the EV Green Charger initiative in 2014, DEWA has installed over 1,500 EV charging points across Dubai through partnerships with public and private sector entities.
