Metaverse has disrupted business models, and organizations increasingly using blockchain and NFTs. While metaverse and Web3 technologies continue to advance, Dubai is investing heavily in the future of the digital economy. The Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy and SEE Institute have launched a metaverse academy—The Future of the Digital Economy: Business in the Metaverse Academy.

A total of 30 digital startups will be selected from Dubai and other markets to join the training academy, which will use VR, AR, and XR technologies to enable participants to experience and comprehend the dynamics of business in the metaverse and provide practical knowledge and tools to leverage Web3 technology.

Participants will go through four sessions covering the fundamentals of Web3, its origins and history, and real-world examples of successful and unsuccessful Web3 business strategies. Sessions will also discuss managing expectations of various blockchains and the value of NFTs as a new channel for brand and consumer communication.

After completing the program, participants will have access to a free sustainable co-working space in Dubai, receive mentorship support, and have the chance to share their success stories with an audience at some of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy’s largest events in 2023.

The training school fits with the objective of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, according to Khalid Al Jarwan, executive director, to assist the sector’s growth, draw high-potential digital businesses to Dubai, and solidify the emirate’s status as a preferred digital economy hub.
