This surge highlights the chamber’s role in establishing Dubai as a preferred global destination for tech entrepreneurs.

As part of its broader mission to transform Dubai into a global leader in the digital economy, the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy has intensified efforts to support innovation, attract investment, and build a robust digital ecosystem. The first quarter of 2025 has seen significant progress toward these goals, with notable growth across key initiatives.
Operating under Dubai Chambers, the chamber announced its support for the launch and expansion of 127 digital startups in Dubai during Q1 2025—a 135% increase compared to the same period last year.
This surge highlights the chamber’s role in positioning Dubai as a preferred global destination for tech entrepreneurs. Over the quarter, the chamber organized four events to empower startups, foster partnerships, nurture talent, and improve the business environment.
Additionally, 729 individuals participated in digital upskilling programs designed to prepare a future-ready workforce for advanced technology sectors.
The chamber also continued to support new and expanding businesses through its “Business in Dubai” platform, which offers institutional services and business matchmaking to connect companies with investors, clients, and partners. The platform’s network of service providers grew by 20 new partners, bringing the total to 114.
Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications and Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, said, “The chamber is committed to playing a pivotal role in positioning Dubai as a global leader in the digital economy, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. Our aim is to foster the growth of both emerging and established digital companies, enable their global expansion from Dubai, and drive innovation and digital entrepreneurship across the economy.”
He added, “Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy is focused on accelerating digital transformation and reinforcing the city’s attractiveness as a prime destination for technology investment, innovation, and digital talent.”
The chamber also conducted 12 international roadshows—an increase from three last year—to promote Dubai’s digital ecosystem and Expand North Star 2025, scheduled for October 12–15 at Dubai Harbour. Campaigns in the U.S., Canada, and Australia attracted over 950 tech stakeholders.
