To strengthen Dubai’s automobile and vehicles industry, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced the establishment of an initiative named ‘Dubai Car Market.’

This initiative stems from an agreement between Dubai Municipality and DP World to develop the world’s largest and most advanced car market, expanding from 2.8 million square feet to 20 million square feet.

The expansion will accommodate a variety of advanced automotive services, improving operational efficiency and market appeal. Under the agreement, DP World will oversee the construction and management of the Dubai Car Market, utilizing its global network to enhance connectivity with 77 ports worldwide.

Sheikh Mohammed said, “We have mandated DP World to expand the Dubai Car Market, creating a state-of-the-art facility that will redefine the automotive trade globally.”

The car market aims to offer commercial services, logistical solutions, and tailored financing options for the automotive sector. Additionally, it will serve as a venue for international conferences and specialized events and attract foreign investments.

Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, group chairman and CEO of DP World, said, “We are proud to collaborate with Dubai Municipality on this ambitious project, leveraging our expertise to establish Dubai as a premier destination in the automotive trade sector.”
