The Michelin Guide Dubai has garnered global attention again by showcasing the city’s vibrant culinary landscape, highlighting its distinctive fusion of traditional Arabian flavors and international gastronomy.

Dubai, renowned for its top-tier culinary offerings and innovative menus, continues to raise the standard, featuring dishes crafted by world-renowned chefs from diverse culinary backgrounds.

This year’s guide showcases luxurious dining experiences and uncovers hidden gems and street food spots that serve authentic and delicious meals, celebrating Dubai’s diverse and dynamic food culture.

At a ceremony hosted at One&Only One Za’abeel hotel, Michelin unveiled its latest selection of restaurants for The Michelin Guide Dubai 2024. This year’s final selection included 106 establishments offering 35 different types of cuisine.

In its third edition, The Michelin Guide Dubai has awarded four new one-Michelin-star restaurants and one new two-Michelin-star restaurant and introduced six new Bib Gourmands.

“Dubai is now truly recognized as an international gastronomic destination and its impressive development continues yearly,” Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of The Michelin Guides, said.

“Its appeal isn’t just with international travelers or local gourmets; talented chefs and restaurateurs from around the world are now also attracted by its vibrant dining scene and arrive keen to make their own mark in the city. With so many different styles of restaurants and types of cuisine, there really is something for everyone.”

Row on 45, a newcomer to The Michelin Guide Dubai, has been awarded two Michelin stars. Located on the 45th floor of The Grosvenor House and helmed by acclaimed British chef Jason Atherton, the restaurant offers an exclusive tasting menu for just 22 guests. Here, Japanese ingredients are expertly fused with French culinary techniques to create exquisite and refined dishes, exemplifying the concept of ‘Refinement Of Work’.

In addition to Row on 45’s accolade, Dubai welcomed four new one-Michelin-star restaurants to its vibrant culinary scene. These include La Dame de Pic by acclaimed chef Anne-Sophie Pic, Smoked Room—a sister restaurant to Chef Dani García’s flagship in Madrid, Sagetsu by Tetsuya, led by talented chef Tetsuya Wakuda, and Orfali Bros by three Syrian brothers.

All the restaurants awarded one Michelin star in the 2023 selection have maintained their distinction this year, bringing the total to four restaurants with two Michelin stars and 15 with one Michelin star.

Additionally, The Michelin Guide Dubai announced six new Bib Gourmands for 2024. These include DUO Gastrobar, Revelry, Berenjak, Hoe Lee Kow, REIF Japanese Kushiyaki, and Konjiki Hototogisu.

In its Special Awards, Michelin presented the ‘Young Chef Award’ to Jesus Lobato Suarez, who, at just 30 years old, is the head chef at Smoked Room, which earned a Michelin star for 2024. The Sommelier Award was bestowed upon Michael Mpofu, the South African Sommelier at Celebrities by Mauro Colagreco. DuangDy by BO.LAN received the ‘Service Award’, while The Guild was recognized as the ‘Opening of the Year’ for 2024.
