Emirates named best airline in the world, wins five global and regional awards
At the ULTRAs 2022 awards, Emirates took home the titles of Best Airline in the World and Best Airline in the Middle East awards
Based on a combination of validated passenger input and professional audits, for its safety, sustainability, inclusion, and in-flight entertainment system, Emirates has received five worldwide and regional awards from two significant travel and aviation events in the past week.
At the ULTRAs 2022 awards, it took home the titles of Best Airline in the World and Best Airline in the Middle East. At APEX 2023, it earned the World Class Award, 5 Star Global Official Airline Rating, and Passenger Choice Award for Best Global Entertainment.
While public votes choose the glitzy ULTRAs 2022 awards from a global community of two million travelers, the World Class Award is determined based on customer reviews and independent audits.
“These accolades reflect the hard work and commitment of our teams to make our brand promise — ‘fly better’ — a reality for customers worldwide,” said Sir Tim Clark, president at Emirates Airlines.
“And it’s still full speed ahead at Emirates. We’ve made a multi-billion-dollar investment to entirely refit the interiors of over 120 aircraft, bring new menus on board, and a host of other enhancements that will take Emirates’ signature experience to new heights,” Clark added.
Meanwhile, the airline also received three prestigious accolades earlier this year at the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2022: World’s Best Economy Class, World’s Best Economy Class Catering, and World’s Best Inflight Entertainment for the 17th consecutive year.
“These awards are a tribute to not only the enduring quality of what Emirates offers to luxury travelers but also that its ever-popular hub in Dubai stayed open and Emirates kept flying throughout the pandemic — making sure they continued to serve those who needed to travel,” said Nick Perry, chairman of Ultratravel.
