The Ferrari Amalfi Spider has been unveiled as a new 2+ convertible from Maranello, powered by a front-mid-mounted twin-turbo V8 engine. The open-top model is designed to balance performance with everyday usability within Ferrari’s lineup.

The Amalfi Spider reflects the brand’s approach to combining performance with lifestyle appeal in an open-air format. With the roof lowered, the car offers a more immersive driving experience while retaining the practicality expected from a daily-drivable sports car.

At its core is Ferrari’s twin-turbo V8 producing 640 horsepower. The car also incorporates technologies such as a brake-by-wire system and ABS Evo, designed to improve braking precision, stability, and vehicle control across varying levels of grip.

The soft-top roof opens in 13.5 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 60 km/h. Its compact design helps preserve luggage capacity, offering 255 litres with the roof closed and 172 litres with it open, positioning the car as a convertible suited for both daily driving and longer journeys.

Ferrari says the Amalfi Spider was designed to maintain the proportions and silhouette of the Amalfi coupe even with the roof down. The soft top is available in several fabric options, including four colours and two technical fabrics such as the newly introduced Tecnico Ottanio.

Inside, the cabin adopts a dual-cockpit layout with a driver-focused interface and physical controls integrated into the steering wheel, including Ferrari’s signature start button. A central display allows both driver and passenger to access key functions, while the 2+ seating configuration provides space for children or additional storage.

Active aerodynamics are another key feature. The rear features a three-position active spoiler that automatically adjusts based on speed and driving conditions to improve stability and aerodynamic performance.

The car also features a wind deflector integrated into the rear bench backrest, which can be activated to reduce turbulence when driving with the roof down.

With its mix of performance technology, open-top driving, and added practicality, the Amalfi Spider expands Ferrari’s range of sports cars that combine dynamic driving with everyday usability.
