Say goodbye to tapping buttons for routine payments: Visa and Aldar have teamed up to roll out the first end-to-end, voice-enabled agentic payment in the region. Using Aldar’s AI agent via the Live Aldar app or website, customers can now pay real estate service charges with a few spoken words, while the AI handles the transaction securely on their behalf.

The launch kicked off with a customer paying through an Emirates NBD Darna Visa Credit Card—an exclusive co-branded card tied to Aldar’s digital loyalty platform. The AI agent guided the user through a consent-led process, confirmed their details, and completed the payment in seconds.

“This partnership transforms routine payments into a seamless, almost instant, customer-first experience,” said Harry Nakichbandi, Chief Digital Officer at Aldar. “By combining Aldar’s AI agent with Visa Intelligent Commerce, we’re removing friction, building trust, and creating signature experiences across every touchpoint.”

Visa Intelligent Commerce powers the experience with a suite of APIs and tokenization tools, letting AI agents initiate secure transactions while keeping customer credentials protected. Godfrey Sullivan, Senior VP at Visa, called the project “a milestone in agentic commerce,” noting it demonstrates how AI can handle routine financial tasks safely and efficiently.

Emirates NBD, the card issuer supporting the launch, emphasized its role in enabling secure, tokenized payments and supporting this next wave of AI-powered convenience.

The initial use case focuses on recurring service charges, but additional capabilities will roll out in 2026. The move signals a bigger trend: AI agents are poised to handle everyday financial interactions, letting consumers spend less time on routine tasks and more on meaningful experiences.
