GCC dominates global export market with $21.4 billion in H1 2024
Non-GCC countries in the Middle East region came in second, making up 23.9% of exports and re-exports
The GCC market remains the leading global export and re-export destination for its member companies in H1 2024, according to the Dubai Chamber of Commerce under Dubai Chambers.
The GCC region represented 53.9% of total exports and re-exports, amounting to approximately $21.4 billion. Non-GCC Middle Eastern countries followed, capturing 23.9% of exports and re-exports, totaling $9.5 billion.
African markets secured third place, representing 9.9% of total exports and re-exports with a combined value of $3.94 billion. The Asia-Pacific region ranked fourth, accounting for 9.2% of exports, valued at approximately $3.6 billion.
During H1 2024, the total value of exports and re-exports by all Dubai Chamber of Commerce members reached nearly $39.7 billion. The chamber issued 372,720 certificates of origin and welcomed 34,075 new companies, marking a 5% annual growth.
