Google has begun the global rollout of Veo 2, its latest advanced video generation model, now available to Gemini Advanced users on both web and mobile platforms. Supporting multiple languages, including Arabic and English, the feature allows users to effortlessly create and share high-quality AI-generated videos.

First unveiled last year, Veo 2 is designed to produce high-resolution videos with cinematic quality. The upgraded model offers an enhanced understanding of real-world physics and human motion, enabling it to generate smooth character movements, realistic visuals, and richly detailed scenes across diverse styles and themes.

Integrated into the Gemini platform, Veo 2 allows users to convert text prompts into eight-second video clips at 720p resolution. The videos are delivered in MP4 format with a 16:9 landscape aspect ratio and include a SynthID watermark—Google’s built-in identifier for AI-generated content.

The global rollout begins today and will continue over the coming weeks. Users can access the feature through the Gemini website or via the Gemini app on Google Play and the App Store.

The rollout of Veo 2 is part of Google’s broader AI acceleration. It follows the launch of Gemini 2.5, which set new performance benchmarks and outperformed competitors like OpenAI. At its recent Google Cloud Next event, the company also unveiled Gemini 2.5 Flash—a streamlined, more cost-efficient version of Gemini 2.5 Pro tailored for real-time use.

Although not yet available on the consumer-facing Gemini app, Gemini 2.5 Flash is already accessible to developers through Vertex AI and AI Studio. It shares the same core architecture as the Pro model but is optimized for lightweight, high-speed interactions and simpler tasks.

Both Pro and Flash versions feature “dynamic thinking”, an AI reasoning technique that adjusts the depth of analysis based on query complexity. Google says the Flash model refines this approach for more efficient yet intelligent responses.

As Google continues to embed AI across its ecosystem, the launch of Veo 2 and Gemini 2.5 Flash highlights its push to offer powerful, accessible tools tailored for both creators and enterprises.
