Saudi Arabia’s AI company HUMAIN has completed the full deployment of OpenAI’s latest open-source models, gpt-oss-120B and gpt-oss-20B, on Groq’s high-speed inference platform.

The models are now hosted within HUMAIN’s sovereign data centers in the Kingdom, ensuring compliance with national data sovereignty and regulatory requirements.

This deployment brings OpenAI’s most advanced open-source technologies to Saudi developers, enterprises, and government entities, delivering high-performance, low-latency AI capabilities within a secure and compliant infrastructure.

The gpt-oss-120B and gpt-oss-20B models support large context windows of up to 128K tokens and include integrated tools for real-time code execution and semantic search. Running at speeds exceeding 500 and 1,000 tokens per second, respectively, on Groq’s platform, the models offer advanced reasoning and conversational capabilities.

First announced in May 2025, the collaboration between HUMAIN and Groq has now entered a new phase, positioning Saudi Arabia as a regional center for AI innovation.

The initiative seeks to connect AI capabilities across the GCC, Levant, Africa, and Asia while ensuring data remains within national borders. This will enable the adoption of advanced AI without compromising privacy, compliance, or performance.

HUMAIN CEO Tareq Amin described the deployment as a “defining moment” for Saudi Arabia, highlighting the Kingdom’s ability to offer local access to advanced AI technologies while retaining full control over data and operations.

Groq CEO Jonathan Ross noted that the company’s infrastructure is built to run advanced models efficiently and at scale, emphasizing the strategic importance of the partnership with HUMAIN in one of the world’s most ambitious AI ecosystems.
