LinkedIn launches ‘My Vision 2030’ competition to engage young Saudis
The competition invites students and early-career professionals to create content that reflects their understanding of Vision 2030.
LinkedIn has launched a nationwide digital competition in Saudi Arabia titled “My Vision 2030,” aimed at encouraging students and early-career professionals to create content reflecting their understanding of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Participants are invited to answer two questions: how they are contributing to Vision 2030 in their respective fields, and what their personal ambitions are for the year 2030. Submissions, shared as LinkedIn posts with photos or videos supported by written narratives, will focus on three sectors: aviation, finance and banking, and health and quality of life.
The four-week competition, which begins today and runs until 15 December, is held under the patronage of King Saud University and in partnership with flynas, Banque Saudi Fransi (BSF), and Bupa Arabia.
Finalists will be invited to a recognition event at King Saud University in January, where winners will receive prizes including professional training opportunities with partner companies, LinkedIn Premium subscriptions, and mentorship from LinkedIn specialists.
Ali Matar, LinkedIn’s Head for the Middle East and Emerging Markets in Europe and Latin America, said the initiative reflects the growing engagement of young Saudis with economic and social transformation efforts under Vision 2030. He noted that youth participation on the platform spans jobs, internships, volunteering, skills development, and professional networking.
Matar added that LinkedIn aims to highlight creative and purpose-driven content while supporting young contributors as they strengthen their role in advancing national priorities.
Professor Dr. Ali Mohammed Masmali, Acting President of King Saud University, stated that the partnership supports the university’s efforts to deepen community engagement and establish strategic collaborations with the private sector, in line with Vision 2030. He described the competition as an opportunity for students and staff to showcase their ideas, contributions, and aspirations.
Representatives from partner companies also welcomed the initiative. Mazen Al-Bsesy, Head of Talent Acquisition at Bupa Arabia, said the program reinforces efforts to support young Saudis in health-related fields, while Jowharah Al-Theyeb, Head of Talent Acquisition at BSF, said it offers a platform for participants to demonstrate creativity and gain exposure to training opportunities in the banking sector.
