Looking for your dream job? These careers are the happiest in UAE
Being a poet, scientist, and YouTuber are the top three careers that people in the UAE would most like to pursue.
Who doesn’t want to be rich and famous? Certainly, plenty of people have dreamt of getting rich and obtaining fame as an influencer, or footballer. In the case of the UAE, many now aspire to be a poet.
And that’s not surprising, considering poetry has been a part of Arab culture. Its position at the top of the nation’s dream employment options echoes this history-rich and strongly revered career choice.
Recent years have seen a significant shift in the idea of work, with younger generations more likely to pursue a meaningful career. Although a successful career is full of tough decisions, many follow their dreams.
According to Remitly, a financial services provider for expats, the top 10 dream jobs in the UAE are poet, scientist, YouTuber, influencer, comedian, football coach, footballer, athlete, illustrator, and programmer.
The findings indicate that young people are driven to create and explore, and opportunities to do so professionally are unlimited.
While looking at the most coveted jobs in the rest of the world, Remitly’s research identified becoming a pilot as the top dream job globally, topping wish lists in 25 different nations.
A clear favorite across the board, from the UK and the US to Cyprus and Montenegro, is becoming a pilot, known for its outstanding pay cheque, great employment prospects, and travel chances. Its widespread appeal is clear, as seen by the almost one million Google queries on becoming a pilot per year.
“People are getting used to the idea of changing careers at least once in their lifetime as the flexibility to work online and retrain increases. Some of the main reasons people seek a career move are for better work-life balance, higher pay, and a more meaningful and fulfilling career,” said Jago McKenzie, Business Management Director at Remitly.
There’s a range of professions featuring prominently, including many that can be done solely online, from anywhere in the world, added McKenzie. “It’s clear that our desire for travel and exploration has not been dimmed by the past couple of years and has grown, with new emerging roles such as becoming an influencer, being heavily tied to travel, and capturing regular content wherever you are,” McKenzie added.
