Saudi music entertainment leader MDLBEAST announced the launch of its music publishing arm to empower songwriters, producers, and artists across Saudi Arabia and the MENA region.

Marking a significant expansion for the company, MDLBEAST Publishing will offer various services to creators, including managing broadcasting rights, intellectual property, and financial rights.

Talal Albahiti, COO and Head of Music at MDLBEAST, described the initiative as a “pioneering and unique model” for the MENA region’s music publishing sector to support the commercial development of the region’s creative community.

MDLBEAST emphasized collaboration with local, regional, and international music rights organizations. A key partnership is with Sentric, a British firm specializing in emerging artists.

This collaboration will address music broadcast and performance rights, ensuring global representation for creators and proper royalty collection for reproduction, printing, performance, and broadcasting.

With the Arabic music industry experiencing growth, MDLBEAST believes this initiative will enhance the discoverability and commercial appeal of its existing catalog of 300 master rights.

MDLBEAST Publishing joins the company’s ongoing efforts to cultivate the local music scene and nurture new talent. In 2023, they launched a successful writing and production camps program, providing workshops and mentorship with industry professionals to 20 homegrown artists. This program, featuring established electronic musicians like Cosmicat, Jeme, and Dish Dash, is slated to continue in 2024.
