As part of its commitment to social responsibility and volunteerism, the Ministry of Finance has launched four humanitarian and social initiatives during the Holy Month of Ramadan. These efforts support the goals of the “Year of Community 2025,” which seeks to strengthen social bonds, promote solidarity, and uplift the most vulnerable members of society.

The initiatives, Ramadan Mir, Supporting Humanitarian Cases, Inspired by Zayed’s Generosity, and Eid Gifts on Us—aim to enhance community well-being and improve lives during this season of giving.

Younis Haji AlKhoori, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, highlighted that the Ministry’s Ramadan initiatives reflect its dedication to social responsibility and the UAE’s core values of compassion and generosity. “These efforts are fully aligned with the pillars of the Year of Community 2025, which aims to enhance social solidarity and activate the role of institutions in serving the community. The Ministry of Finance remains dedicated to launching impactful initiatives that deliver lasting positive change, empower beneficiaries, and improve their quality of life,” he said.

The Ministry organized the Ramadan Mir initiative at its Abu Dhabi headquarters in collaboration with the Family Care Authority and the Emirates Red Crescent. Over 50 volunteers distributed food baskets to families in need, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to social cohesion and the UAE’s humanitarian principles.

Additionally, the “Supporting Humanitarian Cases” initiative with the Emirates Red Crescent, offered medical support to individuals facing health issues and financial difficulties through contributions from Ministry employees.

In celebration of Zayed Humanitarian Day, the Ministry carried out the Inspired by Zayed’s Generosity initiative. In partnership with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Zakat Fund, and Emirates Red Crescent, the initiative supported over 1,500 people, primarily blue-collar workers.

To conclude, the Eid Gifts on Us initiative in Dubai, held in collaboration with the Rashid Centre for People of Determination, brought joy to 50 individuals and marked Eid with kindness and inclusion.
