Omran Group achieves $82 million profit in 2023, boosted by 44.6% revenue surge
Revenue witnessed an increase of 44.6% YoY, with a total value of assets amounting to $1.7 billion.
In 2023, Oman Tourism Development Company (Omran Group) reported a net profit of nearly $82 million, reflecting a 199% year-on-year increase compared to 2022. This significant rise was attributed to the company’s exceptional operational performance and focus on optimizing operational expenses.
Omran Group, which is implementing the 2040 National Tourism Strategy, reported a record performance for 2023. The company’s revenue surged by 44.6% year over year, and its total assets reached $1.7 billion.
“This record performance translates the success of the efforts made and the efficiency of the implemented plans, driven by outstanding operational performance across the board. The high revenue rates from resorts, hotels, existing projects, and new tourism experiences and products contributed significantly,” Omran Group said.
According to data from the National Centre for Statistics and Information, revenues for hotels and resorts in Oman rose by 8% during H1 2024, with a total of 774,881 guests, reflecting an 11.5% increase compared to 2022.
During the first half of 2024, Oman’s airports recorded a 12% year-on-year growth in passenger traffic.
