OPPO introduces Reno15 series with 200MP camera and AI features
A new AI-powered smartphone lineup focused on imaging and content creation
OPPO has launched its Reno15 Series in the GCC, introducing three models: the Reno15 Pro 5G, Reno15 5G, and Reno15 F 5G. The smartphones were unveiled at an event in Dubai, marking the latest addition to OPPO’s AI-enabled smartphone portfolio in the region.
Positioned around the theme “Every Side Seen,” the Reno15 Series emphasizes imaging and content creation. The lineup features a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera designed to capture group shots and wide-angle scenes, alongside enhanced portrait and video capabilities. Select models also include a telephoto portrait camera, while the Reno15 Pro 5G is equipped with a 200MP main camera designed to deliver high-detail photography.
Beyond camera performance, the series offers batteries of up to 6,500mAh paired with 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The devices run on ColorOS 16, supported by OPPO’s Trinity Engine, and come with a six-year fluency protection certification, which the company says is designed to ensure long-term performance stability.
“The launch of the Reno15 Series in the GCC marks another important step in OPPO’s long-term commitment to the region and its creative community,” said Lay Ren, President of OPPO MENA. She added that the Reno range has resonated with users in the Middle East due to its focus on portrait photography and everyday moments.
According to OPPO, the Reno15 Pro 5G combines a 200MP main camera with a 50MP ultra-wide selfie camera to provide a comprehensive front-and-back imaging upgrade. The company says this is intended to support a range of local use cases, from family gatherings to urban photography.
The series integrates several AI-powered imaging and editing tools, including portrait enhancement features, low-light flash optimisation, object removal from video clips, and dual-view video recording. Video capabilities include 4K HDR ultra-steady recording, while photo tools such as Popout allow users to create layered compositions.
Performance is driven by ColorOS 16, which introduces AI-based productivity features, including AI Translate, AI Recording, and AI Call Assistant. OPPO says all AI functions are supported by its Private Computing Cloud, designed to ensure data privacy.
In terms of design, the Reno15 Series draws inspiration from aurora visuals and features a sculpted glass back with a Dynamic Stellar Ring camera module. Display sizes range from 6.32 inches on the Reno15 Pro 5G to 6.59 inches on the Reno15 5G and 6.57 inches on the Reno15 F 5G, all with 120Hz refresh rates. The devices also carry IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for water and dust resistance.
For gaming, the Reno15 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8450 chipset, supported by AI HyperBoost 2.0 for stable frame rates and thermal management. Network performance across the series is enhanced with AI LinkBoost 3.0, while Pro models also include a dedicated signal-boosting chip to reduce latency.
Alongside the product launch, OPPO introduced Ollie as its Creation Ambassador for the Middle East. The character, designed specifically for the region, draws inspiration from Bedouin culture and reflects OPPO’s focus on everyday creativity.
In the UAE, the Reno15 Pro 5G is priced at AED 2,599, while the Reno15 5G is available for AED 2,199. The Reno15 F 5G starts at AED 1,399. Pre-orders run from 22 to 28 January 2026, with bundled accessories and extended warranty offers available. OPPO will also roll out a limited-time trade-in programme from 29 January to 8 February at selected retail partners across the UAE.
