Sharjah leverages AI and digital systems to enhance judicial efficiency and access
These services aim to streamline procedures, speed up case resolution, and enhance the customer experience across courts.
Sharjah has unveiled a new generation of digital judicial systems as part of its efforts to modernise the justice sector and accelerate digital transformation. The launch was led by H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, at the Sharjah Judicial Department. His Highness also reviewed key digital initiatives and witnessed the signing of several partnership agreements.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed affirmed that the integrated electronic system, developed in line with the highest technical standards, represents a qualitative leap in the emirate’s litigation framework. He highlighted its role in accelerating procedures, enhancing judicial efficiency, supporting digital transformation, and enabling faster service delivery with higher customer satisfaction.
The Chairman of the Judicial Council praised the efforts of the Council’s teams and affiliated institutions for completing the project in record time, citing the level of institutional integration and technological advancement achieved. He noted that this progress reflects the Council’s commitment to excellence, sustainability, and alignment with Sharjah’s future vision.
During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the Judicial Department’s digital services, which provide secure access via registered accounts, simplified submissions, comprehensive information, and multiple electronic payment options. These services aim to streamline procedures, expedite case resolution, and enhance the customer experience across courts.
H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed also reviewed the Public Prosecution’s fully digital customer journey, covering application submission, investigation procedures, court sessions, and the issuance and enforcement of judgments. The integrated systems were highlighted for their role in simplifying processes, enhancing transparency, and ensuring accurate and timely outcomes.
The briefing also included innovation-led initiatives such as the “Athar” legal awareness programme, the AI-powered “Preventive Justice for the Family” initiative, the “Virtual Legal Translator” system, and the “Tibyan” virtual judicial assistant. Together, these initiatives underscore Sharjah’s focus on leveraging technology, artificial intelligence, and preventive justice to build a more efficient, accessible, and future-ready judicial ecosystem.
