Qatar Airways, Accenture partner to launch AI-powered aviation initiative
The collaboration aims to boost customer experience, streamline operations, and cement the carrier’s aviation tech leadership.

Qatar Airways has partnered with global consultancy Accenture to launch “AI Skyways,” an initiative aimed at integrating artificial intelligence into the airline’s operations.
The collaboration seeks to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen the carrier’s position as a leader in aviation technology.
AI Skyways will serve as a platform to deliver value-focused AI initiatives across the Qatar Airways Group, guided by responsible AI practices and data-driven solutions. The programme will support projects such as optimising flight schedules, improving predictive maintenance, and personalising passenger services.
These efforts are expected to accelerate the adoption of AI across multiple operational areas, helping the airline adapt to evolving market demands.
Qatar Airways Group CEO, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, described the partnership as a “significant milestone” in the company’s digital transformation. He said AI Skyways will enable the airline to “reimagine operations” and enhance decision-making through real-time data analysis.
Accenture Chair and CEO Julie Sweet said the initiative will “embed and scale AI” to create improved travel experiences and deliver greater value to the airline group.
The move aligns with Qatar Airways’ goal of becoming a digital-first organisation, using emerging technologies to streamline processes. The airline has also committed to deploying AI responsibly, with safeguards including ethical guidelines, data privacy protections, and continuous monitoring.
