RTA and DLD partner to accelerate Dubai’s smart city vision
The partnership plays a key role in supporting Dubai’s ambitions around sustainable, innovative infrastructure.

In a move to enhance service integration and promote digital transformation in Dubai, two major government entities, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and the Dubai Land Department (DLD), have formalized a strategic collaboration. The newly signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) reflects the city’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cross-sector partnerships and deliver smarter, more seamless public services.
The agreement aims to facilitate secure data exchange and jointly develop unified digital services that are user-friendly, efficient, and aligned with the Dubai Government’s vision of customer-centric service delivery. It also supports broader goals of improving the quality of life across the emirate by adhering to global best practices.
The MoU was signed at RTA headquarters by Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, and Majid Saqr Al Marri, CEO of the Registration and Real Estate Services Sector at DLD.
The partnership supports Dubai’s ambitions for sustainable, innovative infrastructure while enhancing customer experience through initiatives like 360 Services, which delivers integrated government solutions via platforms such as the Dubai Now app.
“RTA is focused on advancing and optimising smart systems and networks by delivering advanced services, streamlining procedures, and driving operational efficiency and sustainability in service delivery,” said Mahboob. He added, “The signing of this MoU with the Dubai Land Department reinforces strategic partnerships among government entities and accelerates the emirate’s digital transformation drive…”
Mahboob concluded: “This partnership represents a key milestone. We are enabling seamless, data-driven experiences that support Dubai’s vision of enhancing the quality of life across the emirate.”
Al Marri echoed this commitment: “The Dubai Land Department remains committed to supporting smart city initiatives through effective corporate collaboration.” He further stated, “The agreement also contributes to improving the quality, sustainability, and efficiency of service delivery through the integration of artificial intelligence technologies.”
