Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has finalized the last phase of its “Professional Verification” service, now covering workers from 160 labor-exporting nations. This initiative, launched under the “Professional Accreditation” program in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, seeks to confirm that expatriate workers have the required skills and qualifications before entering the Kingdom.

The service, introduced in line with a Council of Ministers decision, assesses the academic, scientific, and practical skills of expatriate workers to align with the needs of the Saudi labor market. Focused on highly skilled professions, it ensures worker efficiency and matches their qualifications with their educational background and expertise.

The program leverages established frameworks like the Saudi Standard Classification of Occupations and the Saudi Unified Classification of Educational Levels and Specializations. Accessible through a unified automated platform, it streamlines procedures for efficient processing.

The initiative spans 1,007 professions and focuses on occupations categorized in groups 1-3 of the Saudi Unified Classification of Professions, including engineering and healthcare roles, in collaboration with relevant government agencies. These measures aim to regulate the labor market, elevate job quality and service standards, and boost workforce productivity.
