Saudi-China partner to drive advanced manufacturing growth
Saudi Arabia and China strengthen industrial ties, exploring joint investments in advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, and technology under Vision 2030.
Saudi Arabia and China are advancing their industrial collaboration as the KSA intensifies efforts to attract high-value investments and forge strategic global partnerships in advanced manufacturing and technology.
Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources and Chairman of the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC), Bandar Alkhorayef, chaired a meeting in Riyadh with a delegation of over 30 Chinese industrial and technology company leaders.
The discussions focused on expanding industrial cooperation between the two nations and identifying joint investment opportunities in priority sectors, including machinery, equipment, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
The meeting also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s competitive advantages as an emerging global industrial hub, showcasing the KSA’s supportive ecosystem and key enablers designed to facilitate foreign investments. Participants explored opportunities for knowledge exchange, technology transfer, and collaboration in supply chains, along with innovative solutions to advance industrial capabilities.
Representatives from major entities within the Saudi industrial ecosystem — including the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, MODON (Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones), the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, and the Saudi EXIM Bank — presented their programs and services to support investors.
The Chinese delegation was led by the vice president of Tsinghua University and included senior executives from leading companies specializing in industrial technologies.
