As part of a significant push to enhance the tourism and entertainment sectors in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) aims to attract 19 million tourists to the Red Sea coast by 2030. This initiative seeks to contribute $22.6 billion to the local GDP, generate 210,000 jobs, capture 30% of the country’s leisure tourism market, and secure 40% of total entertainment spending.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Investment, the SRSA has published a report titled “Invest in Coastal Tourism,” highlighting the crucial role of coastal tourism in advancing the objectives of Vision 2030.

The report emphasizes the sector’s role in diversifying the national economy, attracting investments, generating new income sources, and creating employment opportunities. It also underscores the importance of protecting the marine environment to ensure sustainability for future generations.

This aligns with the authority’s objectives of fostering sustainable tourism and implementing effective governance within the coastal tourism system.
