The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry held its annual ceremony recognizing strategic partners and high-performing employees, including staff from Expo Centre Sharjah and the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre (Tahkeem).

The event highlighted contributions that supported the Chamber’s strategic objectives and aligned with Sharjah’s long-term development agenda, underscoring SCCI’s focus on institutional excellence and employee engagement.

Held at the Sharjah Old Cars Club, the ceremony also marked the inauguration of the Sharjah Chamber Museum, which documents the Chamber’s milestones, economic contributions, and role in shaping Sharjah’s business landscape. The museum is positioned as a reference platform for researchers, investors, and stakeholders.

The event was attended by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman; and board members of SCCI and Expo Centre Sharjah, along with senior officials, employees, media representatives, and strategic partners.

In his remarks, Al Owais said the recognition reflects the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s commitment to operational excellence. He noted that memberships exceeded 76,000 in 2025, up 14% year on year, with more than 8,300 new companies joining and over 67,000 renewals. The Chamber also issued more than 90,000 certificates of origin in support of international trade.

Al Midfa described 2025 as a milestone year for Expo Centre Sharjah, marked by the launch of the Evolve Future Mobility Show and the Middle East Cosmetics Show, as well as the debut of an AI-powered digital twin platform at SteelFab 2026. The centre hosted 17 major events in the fourth quarter alone, a 70% annual increase, attracting three million visitors in 2025. It plans to host more than 95 global events in 2026.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi attributed the Chamber’s growth to the workforce’s execution of strategic initiatives, noting that rising memberships across industrial, commercial, and professional sectors reflected the efficiency of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s service framework.

Under the theme “Voice for Media,” the ceremony also recognized media professionals for highlighting Sharjah’s economic activity and the Chamber’s initiatives, with the aim of strengthening partnerships and enhancing the emirate’s competitiveness as a business hub.

During the event, senior officials presented awards to top-performing and long-serving employees across multiple categories, including Exceptional Employee, Administrative Excellence, Customer Service, and Innovative Idea.
