Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, has addressed residents following the recent attacks on the country, pledging that authorities will fulfil their responsibility to protect the UAE and its people.

Speaking during a visit to civilians wounded in the incidents, Sheikh Mohamed acknowledged the gravity of the situation and emphasized the government’s commitment to national defence. “Pardon us if we did not meet expectations, but we are in a time of war. I promise you that we will fulfil our responsibility to defend you, our people and our families,” he said.

During the hospital visit, Sheikh Mohamed met with five civilians injured in the events — two Emiratis, one Indian, one Sudanese and one Iranian. “All of these people are a responsibility on my shoulders,” he said while speaking at the hospital where the injured are receiving treatment.

Footage from the visit showed the UAE President speaking with patients and their families, offering words of reassurance and wishing them a swift recovery. He reiterated that the safety of citizens and residents remains a national priority. Some of those injured have already been discharged after completing treatment and making a full recovery.

In remarks directed at the country’s adversaries, Sheikh Mohamed said the UAE would remain resilient despite the attacks. “The UAE is beautiful and a pioneer, but do not let that deceive you,” he said, adding that the country remains determined to protect both its citizens and its resident community.

Addressing the public, he stressed that the country continues to draw strength from the unity of its people and praised residents and citizens for their response to the situation. “UAE residents and citizens have truly made us proud and have done a great job while facing this situation,” he said.

Sheikh Mohamed added that the current circumstances have highlighted the solidarity and awareness of UAE society, noting the public’s cooperation with the safety guidance issued by authorities.

He also thanked members of the armed forces and security services for their role in responding to the situation, as well as medical teams providing care to the injured.

“I promise everyone that we will come back stronger and more resilient after this situation,” he said.
