Spotify is expanding its subscription offerings in the UAE and Saudi Arabia with the launch of three new plans: Spotify Premium Lite, Spotify Premium Standard (including Student), and Spotify Premium Platinum. The pilot aims to cater to the diverse listening preferences of users across both markets.

The Premium Lite plan provides ad-free listening for users seeking essential features, while Premium Standard allows fans to enjoy their music on the go.

At the top of the range, Premium Platinum offers the company’s most elevated experience, introducing features such as Lossless Audio, AI DJ, third-party DJ integration, and AI-generated playlists, along with existing options like Jam and Daylist.

Premium Platinum subscribers will also gain access to audiobooks, with 12 hours included for plan managers and optional 10-hour top-ups. At launch, the catalog will feature more than 150,000 English-language titles, complemented by tools such as automatic bookmarking, a Sleep Timer, and home-based discovery.

In addition to the UAE and Saudi Arabia, the pilot will roll out in South Africa, Indonesia, and India, allowing Spotify to test and refine its subscription model across diverse global markets.

The rollout is informed by insights into user behavior and engagement, underscoring the importance of tailoring offerings to local and cultural contexts.

“We know that the way people connect with audio is deeply personal. This pilot reflects that by offering plans that provide more choice, flexibility, and value,” said Akshat Harbola, Managing Director for MENAP, Spotify. “With Premium Platinum, features like Lossless audio offer a richer, more immersive sound that brings listeners closer to the content and creators they love.”
