UAE launches ‘Make it in the Emirates’ campaign to promote local products
The initiative aims to encourage consumer confidence in locally manufactured products while supporting domestic industry.

Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, witnessed the nationwide launch of a new campaign under the Make it in the Emirates initiative, which aims to boost the visibility and sales of UAE-made products.
Led by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), the campaign brings together nine leading retailers and e-commerce platforms—ADNOC Distribution, Noon, Tradeling, Grandiose, Talabat, Carrefour, Lulu, Union Coop, and Spinneys—to promote local goods in stores and online throughout May.
Launched ahead of the Make it in the Emirates Forum 2025, the campaign offers incentives such as waived registration fees, free digital advertising, logistics support, onboarding assistance, and promotional video production. The initiative aims to strengthen consumer confidence in locally manufactured products while supporting the growth of the domestic industry.
Omar Al Suwaidi, Under-Secretary of MoIAT, said: “This campaign aligns with the ministry’s efforts to enhance collaboration with manufacturers and suppliers across the UAE… It also supports the competitiveness of local companies.”
He added, “This new initiative reflects the ministry’s commitment to raising consumer awareness about the quality of UAE-made products.”
Al Lamki of ADNOC Distribution noted, “We are providing a range of incentives… including dedicated display spaces for UAE-made products at ADNOC Distribution Oasis.” Al Hashemi of Union Coop said, “Every dirham spent on local goods is an investment in our economic resilience and national self-sufficiency.”
Günther Helm of Majid Al Futtaim – Retail commented, “This MoU will… empower domestic manufacturers and strengthen the local supply chain.”
Other partners echoed strong support, including Noon’s Faraz Khalid: “The UAE is an incredible launchpad for businesses… a nation that champions bold ideas and believes deeply in the power of its local economy.”
The campaign coincides with preparations for the Make it in the Emirates 2025 Forum, set to take place from May 19–22 in Abu Dhabi.
