The UAE Media Council has launched Amen, a new digital platform designed to enable the public to monitor and provide feedback on media content produced within the country.

The initiative underscores the Council’s view that society plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the media landscape and safeguarding national values. By encouraging public participation, the platform aims to promote a responsible and transparent media environment that supports the UAE’s efforts to advance its media sector.

Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the UAE National Media Office and the UAE Media Council, said the platform reflects the leadership’s commitment to placing individuals and communities at the heart of national development. He noted that the media serves as both a reflection of society and a means to express its aspirations.

“Content is a responsibility. It shapes society’s thinking, awareness, and attitudes, and reflects the nation’s image and standing,” Al Hamed said. “What we publish must elevate and benefit society, build positive awareness, and express our values, humanity, and national identity – which we proudly uphold.”

He added that public participation is essential in building a credible and responsible national media system that encourages informed dialogue and sustains trust between the media and the community.

The Amen platform is designed to improve content quality and safeguard cultural values by allowing citizens and residents to provide feedback and help ensure media practices remain ethical, balanced, and accountable.

Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, Secretary-General of the UAE Media Council, said the launch of Amen aligns with the goals of the Year of Community, announced by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He described the platform as an interactive tool for reinforcing social values and raising media awareness among future generations.

Al Shehhi added that Amen forms part of the UAE Media Council’s broader regulatory framework to promote high professional standards and ensure that media content aligns with community expectations, national values, and responsible creativity.
